Dongguk University Division of Electronics and Electrical Engineering
Welcome to Dongguk University Division of Electronics and Electrical Engineering

Prof. Jin-Woo Jung, Chair of the Division of Electronics and Electrical Engineering.

Greetings. I am Prof. Jin-Woo Jung, Chair of the Division of Electronics and Electrical Engineering.

We sincerely welcome you to the Dongguk University Division of Electronics and Electrical Engineering. Our division began in 1966 as the Department of Automatic Control Engineering, and through continuous development of the Department of Electronic Engineering and Electrical Engineering, has become the Division of Electronics and Electrical Engineering. Over the past 50 years, many outstanding engineers have been graduated and are working at major universities, industrial companies, research institutes, and public institutions in Korea and abroad, contributing to the development of electronics and electrical engineering in Korea.

Electronics and Electrical Engineering is the study of the core technologies that make up modern society, playing an essential role in a wide range of fields including smartphones, artificial intelligence, autonomous vehicles, semiconductors, communication networks, and renewable energy. Our faculty provides education across the full spectrum of electronics and electrical engineering, including circuit design, electromagnetics, signal processing, control systems, power electronics, semiconductor processes and devices, and aims to develop students with creative problem-solving skills.

Our faculty offers a curriculum that blends theory and practice, and enhances practice-oriented education with laboratories and practice-rooms equipped with the latest experimental equipment. We also conduct various national research projects and industry-academia collaboration projects to help students gain practical experience and acquire cutting-edge technology.

As a result of these efforts, our division has made steady achievements, including being selected for the BK21 project in the fourth phase of the Ministry of Education, and we are continuously promoting divisional restructuring and curriculum innovation to further strengthen our undergraduate education system. In doing so, we aim to take the lead in fostering globally competitive electronic and electrical engineering talents.

We will continue to do our best to establish ourselves as a world-class institution for electronics and electrical engineering education and research beyond Korea. We look forward to your continued interest and support for the Division of Electronics and Electrical Engineering and look forward to building the future with you.
